Constructed by hand, the handles of vintage utensils take shape as dragonflies gently rock and dance in the wind or with the touch of your hand. Using the 2 dragonflies as counterweights, the imaginative sculpture balances upon the inside of an outstretched spoon. Although the dragonflies can be picked up, the inventive use of the spoon's natural bowl shape prevents them from from falling off. The garden accent includes a 35" steel stake that allows the dragonflies to dance above garden plants. Designed and handmade in the USA. Individual dragonfly size is 8" x 5", overall size is 38" x 10" NOTE: The stake, spiral and counterweight are crafted from raw steel. Once exposed to the outdoors, these elements will rust to create further contrast with the stainless steel dragonflies. This is a natural protective process and is meant to be part of the sculpture.Due to the use of vintage flatware and silverware, the handle styles will vary with each sculpture, making each a one-of-a-kind creation.
